How is Web EDI Billing Determined?
Platform Access and Monthly Fee
When you subscribe to Orderful’s Web EDI platform, you are charged a monthly or discounted annual platform access fee. This fee includes:
- Access to the Web EDI portal and features
- One free Partnership connection
There are no hidden fees for basic usage beyond the clearly stated charges for partnerships, which scale with your needs.
What Is a Partnership?
In Orderful, a partnership is defined as a unique, accepted connection between your ISA ID and another ISA ID on the platform. This relationship enables the exchange of EDI transactions and configurations specific to your trading partner.
- Each accepted partnership is distinct and counts as one billable unit beyond your first free partnership.
- You are billed for each active partnership, regardless of whether you are currently exchanging live transactions with that partner.
Additional Partnership Charges
Once you exceed your first (free) partnership, additional partnerships incur a recurring charge. The billing cadence and amount depend on your subscription contract:
- Monthly contracts: Each additional partnership is charged monthly and prorated based on activation date.
- Annual contracts: Each additional partnership is charged annually at a discounted rate and prorated based on activation date.
These charges are predictable and are designed to scale based on your EDI network complexity.
Inactive Partnerships and Billing
You will continue to be billed for each active partnership even if no transactions are actively flowing, as long as the connection remains established. This approach ensures that your configurations and historical data are preserved for future use.
Cancelling a Partnership or Your Account
You can cancel your account at any time via the Orderful UI, or alternatively ask support to cancel an individual partnership.
Cancellation:
- Immediately halts future billing for the cancelled partnership/account from the next billing cycle.
- Does not delete your historical data, which remains safely stored in our systems.
Reactivation and Data Retention
Should you choose to return:
- You can reactivate your Orderful account directly in the UI.
- All previously configured partnerships and historical transaction data will be fully restored.
This ensures a smooth and quick resumption of operations without data loss or reconfiguration.
