Identifying Communication Channels
If an EDI Transaction is the message you send to and receive from your Trading Partner, a Communication Channel is the method by which you send or receive it. Every Trade Request must identify a Communication Channel so that Orderful can receive and send transactions to your partners on your behalf.
Talk to your partner about how they want to communicate with you and choose the path that makes most sense for your partnership.
Connecting over AS2 (👍 Recommended)
Transmission over HTTP or HTTPS with a certificate to encrypt and sign data. AS2 is widely used in the EDI Industry.

Connecting over FTP/SFTP
Transmission over File Transfer Protocols (FTP/SFTP) are used because they’re easy to set up and cost effective.
One of the partner hosts the server and defines connection requirements. The other partner will connect as a client.
