Certified and Uncertified Trade Partners
When sending your first Trade Request, your partner will either be Certified (Fully or Partially Certified) or Uncertified.
Certified partners require minimal setup other than confirming the default documents and Communication Channels.
For Uncertified or Partially Certified partners, Orderful requires you to upload your partner EDI guideline for each document type and/or Communication Channel.
Certified Partners
If you partner is certified, default Relationships and Communication Channels will already be set for you when submitting your Trade Request. You can accept these defaults and skip requirements gathering altogether.
Uncertified Partner
If your partner is Uncertified, you will need to tell us more about your partner in the onboarding form for that trade request. This will include identifying the Relationships or Transactions that your partner has made mandatory, as well as identifying a Communication Channel for your connection.
Partially Certified Partners
If your partner is partially certified, they may have any of the following:
- Default EDI versions
- Transaction/Relationship defaults
- Default Communication Channel
You'll need to determine which is missing in the onboarding form for the Trade Requestand submit it so that the Orderful Network team can review and accept it.
